Communication Network Controller

· Manage and monitor communication systems (radio and telephone networks) within City Services.

· Support the coordination and efficient deployment of cleansing fleet vehicles and civic amenity site operations.

· Handle public enquiries and complaints professionally, in line with council procedures.

· Communicate effectively with operational staff, relaying instructions and key information.

· Provide administrative support, including minute-taking, report preparation, and general clerical duties.

· Maintain and monitor fuel management systems, including issuing fuel keys/cards and tracking usage.

· Liaise with internal departments and supervisors to ensure effective service delivery.

· Comply with all council policies and procedures, including health & safety, customer care, safeguarding, and participate in relevant training and staff support activities.

Do you have experience in Organizational skills?, · Minimum 1 year's relevant experience in public-facing communication, office/administrative support (including report writing and data analysis), and operating substantial communications systems (e.g. two-way radios or switchboards).

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with the public and produce clear, accurate reports.

· Proficient IT and organisational skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases), with the ability to prioritise workload and make effective decisions.

· Team-focused and customer-oriented approach, with awareness of performance standards, health & safety responsibilities, and the ability to contribute positively to team objectives.
