Job description
Our client is a well-established London based construction firm delivering high-quality new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects ranging from £1m-£60m. Its client portfolio includes globally recognised brands and international recognised prestigious institutions., Part of a small team of 3, the Network & Systems Administrator will take ownership of the day-to-day operation, security and continuous improvement of the company's IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting both head office and live construction sites. Reporting to the IT Director, the successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers and consultants to ensure systems are secure, reliable and scalable.
The role requires a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset and the ability to balance infrastructure leadership with high-level technical support., Network & Infrastructure
- Implement, manage and support Fortinet solutions including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer and FortiClient VPN
- Manage firewall policies, SD-WAN, VPNs (site-to-site and client), and network segmentation
Systems & Cloud
- Administer Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and file services
- Support virtualised environments
- Assist with Azure resource administration

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening operational resilience, enhancing cyber security posture and supporting a dynamic business delivering projects for world-class clients.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven experience as a Network / Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet products, particularly FortiGate firewalls and VPNs
- Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalling)
- Strong understanding of cyber security fundamentals and best practice
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Hyper-V or Vmware and Active Directory
- Experience delivering 3rd line support in a business environment
