Job description

Our Technology Risk team support clients with services such as: * IT Internal and External Audit services * Data Analytics * IT Governance and Strategy Assurance * IT and Digital Transformation Programme Assurance * Business Process IT Controls Testing In addition to working directly with clients, the team also plays a critical role delivering specialist technology assurance services in support of Azets' Internal Audit and External Audit practices. We are looking for a Manager and/or an Assistant Manager to support the next phase of growth for this team, to support and manage the junior team members and with it enable themselves to grow and progress with the team. Working collaboratively as part of a wider Technology Risk team to: * Support IT Internal Audit services across the UK in support of the Risk Advisory service for Internal Audit services. * Support IT External Audit services across the UK in support of the Audit business. * Support the team in the delivery ofspecific Technology Advisory assignments with clients. * Bring experience of sectors such as the Financial Services and Corporates. * If possible you will have experience of SAP IT and Application Controls. * Provide day to day supervision to more junior members of our team. * Provide support to the Technology Risk management team in strategy, business development, operational and people activities. Core Skills In order to succeed To succeed you will need experience of delivering Technology based assurance and advisory, including working in close collaboration with External and Internal Audit professionals. You will also need a passion for getting to know clients' and potential clients' as people, developing insight into their technology issues and delivering compelling propositions that deliver real value to their organisations. Client Focus * Is able to respond to client queries relating to role with minimal input from others * Demonstrates a clear understanding of clients' business, objectives, challenges and risks sufficient to brief more junior colleagues on assignment and direct work accordingly * Demonstrates a broad understanding of client/customer market and environment and understands the importance of driving new business * Manage flexible working of self and assistants based around client needs and business deadlines * Reviews WIP on a monthly basis to ensure that fees are raised for any work that is completed or at a billable stage and that any doubtful time that may not be recovered is adequately provided, by updating CCH with the required provision * Gain experience of winning new work through input into the preparation of proposals, fee quotes and attending client tenders. Efficiency * Challenges and assesses client fee levels against job recovery trends * Challenges existing approaches and offers alternative suggestions to deliver work more efficiently without compromising of quality of output * Champions new technologies aimed at improving quality and efficiency and takes the lead in departmental implementation of them. Advisory * To continuously look out for ways for the team to work on various advisory opportunities, whether that be via existing client relationships or new client referrals. * To assist higher-level management in identifying opportunities for technology risk services; this may be following up on clients that we have assisted with in the past, it might be helping with office presentations to help spread the word and/or identifying opportunities in the market. * To have a strong commercial sense when quoting the engagement by including appropriate caveats when carrying out the work/ billing in order to identify scope changes and additional overrun fee. Purchase Price Allocations * Begin to lead scoping calls with clients/ internal Audit alongside scoping emails. Have an improved sense of risk perception when quoting. * Lead the majority of external calls, being able to self identify if further upwards support is needed. * Where other workstreams are involved begin to take ownership of the oversight of the full project. * Pro-actively delegate aspects of the work throughout the course of the project. * Review slots should be allocated and booked in advance. * As well as monitoring WIP Management, track overall inefficiencies and think about pricing for overruns/out of scope work.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SAP?, Holds a relevant IT Audit qualification such as CISA, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor or similar/equivalent.
