Job description
IT Infrastructure Engineer is required by an international IT company to join their global infrastructure team.
You will be responsible for:
- Administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases, ensuring high availability, performance tuning, patching, and secure access management.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Hyper-V based virtualization platforms.
- Managing and optimising Azure cloud services and Microsoft 365 integrations.
- Developing and enhancing existing automation scripts, workflows, and operational processes.
- Implementing and maintaining security controls.
- Monitoring, optimising and improving operational reliability across hybrid infrastructure environments.
- 3rd line IT support.
Requirements
- Extensive experience of operating within a Microsoft-centric infrastructure environment.
- Proven ability to manage, secure, and optimise Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-prem and cloud environments, including high availability, performance tuning, and reliable backup/restore operations.
- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Microsoft Azure, including Landing Zones, RBAC, Networking, and Security.
- Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform etc..)
- ITIL
- DevOps and CI/CD.
