Job description
As a Data Analyst, you will work with colleagues across the business to turn data into clear, useful insights that support better decision-making. You will help understand business questions, prepare and analyse data, and present findings in ways that are easy to understand and act on.
This is a hands-on role suited to an early-career analyst or someone developing their data analytics skills. You will collaborate closely with experienced analysts and data scientists while continuing to build your technical knowledge and business understanding., * Collect, clean, validate, and transform data using SQL and cloud-based data tools.
- Build and maintain clear, reliable Power BI dashboards using good data modelling practices.
- Produce concise insight summaries for teams such as Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Growth.
- Translate business questions into structured analytical tasks and meaningful outputs.
- Present insights in clear, engaging ways for non-technical audiences.
- Contribute to scalable and reusable reporting solutions with a focus on data quality.
- Support process improvements, automation, and documentation.
- Follow and promote good data governance and consistent analytical practices.
- Work collaboratively in iterative, agile delivery cycles.
Requirements
- Experience working with data through work, study, training, or practical projects.
- Strong SQL skills, including working with large datasets.
- Experience using Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and data modelling.
- Confidence using Excel for analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Warehouse/Synapse, Azure Data Lake, or Databricks is helpful but not required.
- A basic understanding of analytical and statistical concepts, with interest in learning more.
- Ability to explain data insights clearly and thoughtfully.
- Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
- Curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to learn new tools and concepts.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Exposure to PySpark or other distributed data processing tools.
- Familiarity with Tableau or other data visualisation tools.
