Job description

Our Radar Systems Engineering team is seeking a candidate to support the integration, test, and verification of high performance Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems. The Radar Systems Engineer will:

  • Apply advanced technologies, scientific principles, theories and concepts to develop revolutionary system solutions.
  • Support integration and test, evaluate test results, investigate discrepancies, provide technical assessment of anomalies, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Conduct system verification and support certification activities.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to accomplish technical objectives
  • Represent the organization on contracts and interface with internal and external customers, program and senior leadership on technical matters as required.
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills and work well in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Be comfortable working in hands-on laboratory or field environments.
  • Shift work may be required
  • This position involves the ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support site installs, checkout and integration testing.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent degree combined with 5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of related experience

  • Functional knowledge of radar systems, subsystems and components

  • Experience with the integration and test of radar systems, including functional and performance verification and the development of test procedures and plans.

  • High proficiency in use of MATLAB and Python for data analysis.

  • Flexibility to work non-standard work shifts and weekends as required by the supported program

  • U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance Desired Skills:

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Physics or equivalent

  • Radar systems development and test experience, including signal processing, algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling & simulation

  • Experience with RF systems or antenna testing in near-field and far-field test environments

  • Knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Anti-Aircraft Warfare (AAW) concepts and design considerations

  • Familiarity with earned value management Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration., Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week The base range for this position in New Jersey is $91,000 - $172,488.
