Job description
The Solutions Engineer at Cloudsmith serves as a technical expert and trusted advisor to our customers. This role bridges the gap between our engineering, product and growth teams by understanding customer requirements, demonstrating how Cloudsmith's artifact management and software supply chain security solutions can address business and technical challenges, and setting the customer up for a successful deployment of Cloudsmith. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology, skilled in customer engagement, and adept at crafting innovative solutions that drive customer success., * Pre-Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the growth team to understand customer requirements and design solutions that align with their needs.
- Deliver product demonstrations, create technical presentations, and lead proof-of-value (PoV's) evaluations with prospects.
- Provide subject matter expertise during RFPs, technical calls, and customer meetings.
- Solution Design & Architecture:
- Analyze customer environments and architect scalable, secure, and reliable solutions using Cloudsmith's platform.
- Develop integration strategies for customers using CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, reporting tools and other developer tooling.
- Document solution architectures, configurations, and integration best practices.
- Post-Sales Support:
- Work closely with customer success and support teams to address technical issues and ensure smooth onboarding.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to teams on best practices and platform features.
- Product Feedback & Collaboration:
- Gather and relay customer feedback to the product and engineering teams.
- Participate in roadmap discussions to help prioritize features and enhancements based on market and customer needs.
- Develop and contribute to technical documentation, including FAQs, troubleshooting guides, and configuration examples.
- Content Development:
- Contribute to the development of technical collateral (blogs, webinars, whitepapers) that educate the market and prospects on best practices in artifact management and DevOps.
- Help build technical resources to support the growth team in achieving their goals and targets., We're looking for someone who can balance trusted technical advisor status with revenue-aligned execution, and has the experience to build a compelling, measurable proof of value that accelerates enterprise adoption and is fearless in rolling up their sleeves when needed. Requirements
Do you have experience in Sales?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * 3+ years of experience in sales/solutions engineering, technical consulting, or DevOps operational roles.
- Prior experience with Cloudsmith's product offerings, or similar artifact management solutions would be highly relevant.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with customers, understand technical requirements, and translate them into actionable solutions.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant certifications in cloud computing, DevOps, or related technologies are a plus.
