Working Student in department Analytics & Data Engineering

Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Integration of new data sources into a Data Lake.
• Development and extension of software libraries.
• Development and debugging of big data pipelines.
• Development and maintenance of CI/CD workflows.

• Enrolled as a full-time student in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.
• Initial practical experience in Data Engineering or Data Science is desirable.
• Strong desire and ability to learn new things quickly.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Bash.
• Experience with data analytics libraries (pandas, pyspark, …).
• Confident working with Linux systems such as Fedora, Red Hat, or Ubuntu
• Proficient in using version control systems (Git).
• Initial hands-on experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with big data processing tools like Apache Spark or Apache Flink is a plus.
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or ArgoCD is a plus
• Knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL is a plus.
• Experience with Web Development (e.g. Django, Angular), Testing (DocTest, pyTest, etc.), Docker and Kubernetes, ETL (Airflow), Code Quality (pylint, etc.) and GitOps tools (e. g.
