Job description
You will work as part of a team of Health and Social Care specialists, supporting Clients to solve their most difficult challenges. The work is complex, demanding and challenging, but also incredibly interesting and fulfilling. We work across a range of capability areas including but not limited to; workforce transformation, operational and financial improvement, service and care pathway design and implementation, target operating model design and implementation, and programme delivery.
Within the role you will have responsibility for bringing your industry knowledge, change management, technology platform and transformation expertise along with broader consulting skills.
Our team is flexible, and colleagues often work across a number of areas. Examples of the kind of projects you could work on include:
- Delivery of cost improvement plans centred around workforce transformation.
- Medical and nursing workforce transformation and optimization.
- Workforce transformation programmes.
- Corporate services reviews and transformation.
- Design and development of leadership programmes for healthcare leaders.
- Electronic patient record implementation programmes.
Requirements
- Prior experience of working in the NHS in a managerial, financial, and/or clinical or equivalent role with experience of managing a team OR experience of working in a healthcare related management consulting role.
- Experience of working on healthcare projects within an NHS role or a consulting organisation.
- Experience of working on functional transformation projects (Finance, HR , IT).
- Ability to demonstrate core consulting skills such as presentation skills, stakeholder management and ability to build rapport quickly.
- Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and fast-paced project environments and demonstrate personal resilience.
- Ability to develop and manage client/stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and appreciation of the commitments to working within a consulting practice.
- Innovative mindset and keen interest in newest thinking around transformation, the future of work, and technology disrupters.
- Good project management skills and an understanding of governance requirements and risks.
Desirable
You must have one or more of:
- Data and analytical skills, ability to analyse workforce, financial, productivity data, proficient in the use of excel / power BI.
- Experience of financial management within the NHS, understanding of NHS budgets.
- Prior experience of human resources or workforce transformation programmes within the NHS.
- Experience of the development of business cases within the NHS.
