Senior AI Engineer

Your mission will be to build AI-powered tools that revolutionize how healthcare professionals deliver care. You will work on Doctolib Assistant, our AI personal assistant designed to assist doctors and medical staff in their daily work-from answering complex medical questions to automating administrative tasks with accuracy, reliability, and safety. Working in the tech team at Doctolib means building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients., * Design, ship, and operate production-grade agentic systems powering Doctolib Assistant, our AI personal assistant that addresses key challenges for healthcare professionals

• Build and improve AI agents and our orchestration systems
• Partner with data scientists to design and implement evaluation pipelines, security/safety guardrails, and metrics-while taking ownership of operational AI projects as data science teams focus on exploratory research
• Develop and maintain core agentic capabilities including memory, reasoning orchestration, tool adapters, and multi-agent coordination, ensuring strong observability, fallback mechanisms, and fail-safe behaviors
• Own performance, observability and security: monitoring dashboards, SLO/SLI, and security posture
• Ensure privacy and security by design, with a particular focus on medical data sensitivity
• Contribute to fullstack development when needed to deliver end-to-end features for healthcare professionals, * Our solutions are built on a single, fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to country and healthcare specialty requirements.
• Our stack is composed of Rails, TypeScript, Java, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and React Native.

Do you have experience in Swift?, * Have 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with hands-on experience in AI/ML systems

• Have 2+ years of experience working with Python
• Have gone through the full lifecycle of an AI product, from initial evaluation and launch to iterations based on results in production
• Understand and promote best practices related to the software development life cycle such as automated testing, good use of CI/CD, and DevOps practices
• Are comfortable with fullstack development and not afraid to dive into React/TypeScript/Kotlin to ship end-to-end features
• Are product-oriented and comfortable guiding your teammates to suggest tradeoffs to balance business needs with technical constraints
• Are comfortable speaking and writing in English in your day-to-day work with the team

It would be fantastic if you:

• Have experience building multi-agent systems or agent development frameworks
• Have worked on AI products for enterprise/professional users
• Have experience in the medical domain or healthcare tech
