Working Student (f/m/d) - Semantic Data Modeler Mode of Employment: Fixed Term / Part-Time; (15 - 20 hours / week) As a Working Student - Semantic Data Modeler (f/m/d) at GCH FL, you'll dive into the world of advanced data modeling and semantic technologies, shaping the future of interoperable systems with your Python expertise and passion for open-source innovation. You'll make an impact by You support the definition and maintenance of advanced data models using LinkML, connecting various data formats and ensuring consistency Subsequently, you help align information with semantic standards by modeling according to Web of Things (WoT) ontologies, SHACL shapes, JSON-LD contexts, and JSON Schema Building on this, you assist in developing Python-based backend tools for transforming, validating, and processing these models, directly improving system interoperability Furthermore, you contribute to open-source projects, helping to advance the tools and frameworks within our semantic ecosystem To complete the workflow, you write and execute test cases to validate both models and software, ensuring they meet high quality and performance standards This is how you'll win us over Education: You are currently enrolled in a university program, ideally in computer science, information systems, data science, or a related field Experience and Skills: You have good knowledge of Semantic Web modeling and technologies such as RDF/OWL, JSON-LD, and SHACL You possess practical experience in Python development, including using Git, testing, and CI tools You are familiar with data modeling concepts and industry standards like LinkML, WoT ontologies, and JSON Schema Ways of Working: You demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and enjoy contributing to open-source projects Languages: You have very good English skills You are much more than your qualifications, and we believe in the potential of every single candidate.
