Job description
As a Principal Cybersecurity Architect - Blockchain Security Specialist at JPMorganChase in the Digital Asset Security Working Group, you will lead efforts to secure distributed ledger technologies and application-layer protocols. You will proactively identify and address risks, working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and validate security solutions. Your role bridges traditional cybersecurity with emerging blockchain paradigms, including preparing for quantum-era threats. You will help shape our security strategy and contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration. Your work will have a direct impact on the safety and resilience of our digital asset platforms., * Proactively hunt for threats across blockchain networks, smart contract ecosystems, and infrastructure components.
- Perform ongoing threat intelligence, attack surface mapping, and exploit simulation on platforms such as Ethereum, Bitcoin, and Solana.
- Design and execute proof-of-concepts and demonstrations for discovered vulnerabilities and proposed mitigations.
- Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in smart contracts, wallets, bridges, and node infrastructure.
- Conduct security assessments and code reviews across Solidity, Rust, and off-chain components.
- Partner with engineering and DevOps to secure CI/CD pipelines, API gateways, and validator nodes.
- Collaborate with cryptographers to evaluate readiness for post-quantum cryptography transitions.
- Advise on secure deployment patterns, product launches, and security-by-design principles.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Ethereum, Solana, and Bitcoin ecosystems, including execution, consensus, and infrastructure.
- Proven experience in smart contract auditing with Solidity, Rust, and the Anchor framework.
- Hands-on expertise in vulnerability research, exploit development, or proof-of-concept prototyping.
- Familiarity with threat hunting, attack simulation, and adversary emulation in blockchain environments.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including cryptographers and threat intelligence experts., * Familiarity with MEV threats, bridge exploits, flash loan attacks, and cross-chain vulnerabilities.
- Experience with security tooling such as Mythril, Slither, Echidna, Foundry, and Halmos.
- Knowledge of zk-SNARKs, zk-STARKs, MPC, and threshold cryptography.
