Job description
We are looking for an experienced Cloud & DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us manage the infrastructure for a banking application hosted on IBM Cloud and deployed with OpenShift and Terraform. The application must comply with IBM Financial services certification, which is based on NIST 800-53 Rev 4 requirements, so security, automation, and compliance are key aspects of the role.
Responsibilities

Deploy, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure on IBM Cloud using Terraform and Helm charts.

Administer and Support OpenShift clusters, ensuring scalability, security, high availability, and cost efficiency.

Implement and Enforce security best practices to comply with IBM Financial Services certification, financial regulations and customer compliance requirements.

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure and applications using tools such as Dynatrace.

Automate deployment and configuration processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational risks.

Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure best practices are followed in cloud deployments.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with enterprise cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or IBM Cloud) and their core services

Proven experience deploying and managing production with OpenShift or Kubernetes and its ecosystem.

Expertise in Terraform including module development, state management, and infrastructure testing

Track record designing and enforcing security controls

Proficiency in automation and DevOps tools (CI/CD pipelines, scripting, etc.).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic cloud environment.
Nice-to-Have

Experience in a regulated financial environment.

Familiarity with IBM Cloud, Security & Compliance tools.

Experience with policy as code tools (Kyverno, OPA Gatekeeper, ..)

Familiarity with container security scanning tools

Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Grafana, DataDog, Elastic, ..

Knowledge of SIEM solutions and security monitoring tools.
