Model Integration Specialist (d/f/m)
Eurodrone: Shaping the Future of European Strategic Autonomy The European Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) - Eurodrone - is a lighthouse programme for the European aeronautics industry. It is the first programme to fully implement Digital Design Manufacturing and Services (DDMS), paving the way for the Future Combat Air System (FCAS).
The Role & Team You will join the Virtual Engineering (VE) team within the Military Aircraft Simulation Domain. Our mission is to develop top-notch, high-fidelity Engineering and Training Simulations that support the entire aircraft lifecycle. As part of our international Joint Model Office (JMO), you will be responsible for integrating real-time capable simulation models and software artefacts into the VE reference simulation. You will play a key role in ensuring these systems are ready for deployment in the Eurodrone Simulation Lab, test benches, and training devices.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks., * Perform the integration of functional models and software artefacts into the VE reference simulation using CI/CD principles.
- Detect and resolve software bugs by collaborating closely with model development teams.
- Support the IV Test Centre and System Teams regarding simulation usage on L1 and L2 test benches.
- Define and execute test scripts for simulation-specific test cases in coordination with the JMO System Engineering team.
- Manage model interface specifications, including generation, review, and change requests.
- Collaborate internationally using tools like Confluence and Jira; occasional travel will be required.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven track record in system integration and testing (preferably in avionics) and executing test procedures.
- Technical Proficiency in C/C++, CMake, and scripting languages (Python, Bash), with experience in both Linux and Windows environments.
- In-depth knowledge of bus systems, embedded architectures, and version control (Git).
- Experience with DevOps tools (e.g., Conan, VS Code) and knowledge of distributed simulation frameworks.
- Agile Mindset: Ability to work proactively and independently within a large, international team.
- Language Skills: Advanced English is required; German, Spanish, French, or Italian is a plus., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
