Job description

If so, we'd love to meet you! As a Senior IT Engineer within our Reporting team, you will play a key role in refining financial risk reporting processes and enhancing credit risk calculations. Working alongside expert DevOps engineers and risk analysts, you will drive innovation and make a real impact. Your job

You will be responsible for ensuring that relevant, high-quality data is made available to internal application teams. Your work will include:

  • Designing technical solutions in collaboration with your peers
  • Developing, testing, and deploying applications and Control Frameworks
  • Handling large datasets: collecting, preparing, cleaning, and delivering data
  • Building, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines
  • Optimizing application performance and improving data delivery processes
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance data quality frameworks and operational efficiency
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, product owners, and architects to align on goals and solutions

Working environment

You will be a part of the Capital & Control Chain (C&CC) within the Financial Risk Grid in the IT Value cluster. The team operates in a collaborative, open, and informal atmosphere. With a strong presence of international team members, the environment fosters diversity and inclusivity. The team works mainly from home with some time spent in the office, and embraces an agile, hands-on, and pragmatic approach to problem-solving. Our team is about 10-12 people, working together in agile sprints to develop and maintain the platform. You will collaborate closely with various teams within the organization, making a tangible contribution to the larger IT transformation program.

Requirements

  • 5+ years
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Analytical skills, We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives on solving complex problems and working with creative, innovative solutions. You should have:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a solid foundation in both technical and soft skills
  • Proficiency with Python/PySpark frameworks and libraries
  • Strong expertise in Spark to optimize performance
  • Solid experience with SQL and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) frameworks, with a focus on creating resilient, scalable, and efficient ETL processes
  • Hands-on experience with Azure data tooling, such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure DevOps
  • Experience in building and maintaining ETL data pipelines
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Continuous Testing
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management, Continuous Integration, Cloud Implementations on Azure
  • A passion for learning and experimenting with new tools and technologies Beyond the technical expertise, we value strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively. You should be capable of translating complex technical issues into understandable terms for a variety of audiences.
