Job description
The client is undertaking a transformation of their customer and marketing data architecture, moving towards a modern cloud-based data platform built around Snowflake and AWS. The Data Architect will play a key role in designing scalable data models, defining data integration patterns, and supporting the creation of a unified customer data platform to enable marketing decisioning and analytics across the organisation.., * Design and maintain scalable data architectures supporting customer and marketing data platforms
- Define data models and schemas for customer, campaign, and marketing datasets
- Design and optimise Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions
- Define data integration patterns including APIs, batch pipelines, and Real Time data flows
- Collaborate with Solutions Architects to align data architecture with overall platform strategy
- Work with data engineering teams to support ETL/ELT pipeline development
- Ensure data governance, data quality, and GDPR compliance across customer datasets
- Support the development of a Single Customer View across multiple systems
- Produce architecture documentation including data models, lineage, and integration diagrams
- Engage with stakeholders across marketing, product, engineering, and architecture teams
Requirements
- Strong experience working as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer
- Experience designing data architectures on Snowflake
- Experience designing data platforms within AWS environments
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data engineering practices
- Experience with customer data, marketing data, or CRM platforms
- Knowledge of data modelling, master data management, and Single Customer View concepts
- Experience designing API-based or event-driven data integrations
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and GDPR considerations
- Experience working with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or marketing technology ecosystems
- Experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory
- Exposure to Azure data services or hybrid cloud environments
