This is an excellent opportunity for an IT technician to deliver IT services to both staff and students across our local cluster schools., * Provide technical support to staff and students for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems with PCs, laptops, printers, and classroom AV equipment.
- Log, prioritise and track support requests through the clusters helpdesk.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, The role requires excellent IT skills, a customer focused attitude and great communication skills. The role is based at Avonbourne Academies & Avonwood Primary, however is part of an IT team providing services for the United Learning Bournemouth & Poole cluster of schools, including Glenmoor & Winton Academies and The Cornerstone Academy. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday, all year round, however consideration will be given to candidates looking for term time only., * have a good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Office 365 Workspace, and networking.
- the ability to diagnose and repair common hardware and software issues.
- understand cybersecurity basics, including safe internet use and system security.
- be able to work independently and prioritise completing tasks.
- ideally have a background in Education IT and have an understanding of the school environment and the importance of supporting teaching and learning.
- be reliable, punctual, and able to maintain confidentiality and data security.
