Job description
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join the infrastructure team at a rapidly scaling AI company in the insurance technology space. You'll own the reliability and efficiency of the cloud environment, from build and deploy pipelines to operational automation and compliance. Your focus areas will span cost governance, platform observability, incident readiness, and partnering with cross-functional engineering groups to bring consistency to how services are shipped and run., * Own and improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Monitor, optimize, and manage cloud system costs and performance
- Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to build scalable backend solutions
- Maintain and evolve observability tooling and incident response workflows
- Ensure infrastructure scales reliably as the platform and customer base grow
- Contribute to security and compliance initiatives aligned with industry standards
Requirements
Do you have experience in System design?, * 5+ years of experience in software engineering or DevOps, with meaningful exposure to CI/CD, infrastructure, security, and performance optimization
- Strong system design fundamentals, debugging skills, and problem-solving ability
- Proficiency in Python (primary stack); candidates with strong backgrounds in other object-oriented languages are also welcome
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda, EC2), asynchronous workflows, and cloud platforms
- Comfort working with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL
- Experience with Terraform, infrastructure-as-code practices, Docker, or comparable containerization tools
- Self-directed and highly autonomous, able to drive projects end-to-end with minimal supervision
- Clear, proactive communicator who surfaces blockers early and keeps stakeholders aligned
Nice to Have
- Experience with LLMs, generative AI, or distributed systems
- Comfort with rapid experimentation, testing hypotheses, measuring outcomes, and iterating quickly
