As a ServiceNow Platform Consultant / Expert (f/m/x), you will play a key role in designing, developing, and continuously improving our ServiceNow environment, with a focus on IT Service Management (ITSM). You will combine technical expertise, solution architecture, and business consulting to ensure the platform delivers sustainable value for our organisation. Your key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with IT and business stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions, including service catalogs, workflows, and reporting
- Facilitating workshops and aligning ITIL-based processes with ServiceNow capabilities to drive adoption and process excellence
- Designing and maintaining the overall ServiceNow platform architecture, including CMDB/CSDM alignment, integrations, security, and governance
- Defining scalable platform standards and reviewing major changes, third-party apps, and custom solutions for architectural fit
- Configuring and developing solutions on the ServiceNow platform (e.g., Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations)
- Collaborating with external partners and vendors to ensure high-quality platform delivery and governance
- Providing advanced platform support (Level 2/3), troubleshooting issues, and ensuring system stability, data integrity, and SLA compliance
- Driving continuous improvement through upgrades, release management, documentation, and optimisation initiatives
- Managing the platform roadmap and backlog for ITSM capabilities, prioritising features, and coordinating releases
- Measuring platform performance through KPIs and identifying opportunities to increase automation, efficiency, and service quality
Requirements
This role is ideal for a ServiceNow professional who enjoys combining technical expertise with strategic thinking. If you like translating business needs into scalable platform solutions and continuously improving processes, you could be a great fit for our team. Ideally, you bring the following qualifications and strengths:
- University degree in IT, business informatics, or a comparable qualification
- 5+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform, ideally across development, architecture, consulting, or product management
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow configuration and development (JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, catalog items, REST/SOAP integrations)
- Solid understanding of ITSM processes aligned with ITIL and experience designing scalable platform architectures (e.g., CMDB/CSDM, integrations, security models)
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and facilitating stakeholder workshops
- Experience working with external ServiceNow development teams or vendors
- Product mindset with experience managing backlogs, defining roadmaps, and measuring performance through KPIs
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS-ITSM, CAD) are an advantage
- Experience with ITOM capabilities such as Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical topics to diverse stakeholders
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage in our international environment
