Data Engineer

In collaboration with the TIED department and the ICT BESIX team:

• You will build and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources like 3rd party software, industrial loT, or equipment providers ;
• You will assist in the onboarding and setup of the Azure Fabric platform, ensuring high availability and data quality ;
• You will apply software engineering best practices to data work, including modular code design, comprehensive testing, and documentation ;
• You will participate in consultations with operational teams on the development and implementation of robust technical solutions ;
• You will participate in the Group's development projects to ensure the smooth integration of data systems ;
• You ensure that our systems comply with BESIX Group guidelines and policies ;
• You will ensure smooth communication and the sharing of projects and information between Franki Foundations and the BESIX Group ;
• You will take part in a variety of internal and external technical as well as social events and activities organised by the department and the company ;
• You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the company in terms of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality.

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science
• Professional experience: First professional experience in a company.
• Qualifications/certifications: -
• Languages: You are a native speaker French or Dutch and have a good command of English (IT).
• Skills: Analytical and problem-solving skills, Ability to write clean, maintainable and efficient Python code. Comfortable with object-oriented programming and data-focused libraries. GitHub: Experience in managing code bases in a collaborative environment, including branching strategies, pull requests and code reviews. Self-starter attitude with the ability to navigate ambiguous data challenges and take ownership of technical tasks.
• Location & work organisation: Based in Saintes, frequent travel to BESIX headquarters in Brussels, possibility of teleworking 1 to 2 days/week.
