Job description

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll collaborate with specialists across Data, Engineering, Architecture, and Security. Your work will cover everything from designing automated infrastructure to shaping delivery pipelines and improving containerised workloads.

You'll be hands-on with technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Docker, and a range of supporting tooling. The position also includes involvement in strategic upgrades, scaling platform capabilities for future business needs, and elevating monitoring and observability standards., * Build and automate infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.

  • Develop reusable platform components using Kubernetes, Docker, and virtualisation technologies.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps-aligned workflows.
  • Increase automation across the estate to reduce drift and improve consistency.
  • Support cloud governance, security improvements, and operational resilience.
  • Champion modern engineering practices and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Strong background in platform or infrastructure engineering across Linux and Windows ecosystems.
  • Practical experience using IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Proven capability running Kubernetes and Docker in production.
  • Solid understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, and networking.
  • Advantageous: experience with VMware products (vSphere, NSX, VCF).
  • Confident Scripting and automation skills.
  • A collaborative approach and comfort working in a fast-moving environment.
