Working Student within Web App Development and Implementation

In order to support the Innovation department in Customer Services (SDI), Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a, Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.

This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week

Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.

Your tasks and responsibilities

• Development of a smart chatbot
• Integration of the smart chatbot into a web-based demonstration app for the real time air traffic analytics capabilities and implementation for mobile use. The required integration development is based on an already existing initial version of the app.
• Where required for the integration and full exploitation of the smart chatbot complement the existing feature set of the web app.
• Interface with our DevOps team on cutting edge real time aviation data using the latest in big data, machine learning and cloud technologies.

• Enrolled full time student within Information Science or similar field of study
• hands-on experience in web app development (demonstration examples of previous own developments welcome!)
• hands-on experience in implementation of Chatbot functionalities, generative AI, language models would be a plus (demonstration examples of previous own developments welcome!)
• proficiency in at least one contemporary web framework, preferably React or similar
• knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, NodeJS)
• experience with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka) and understanding of how to interact with them using queries and APIs
• understanding on specificities of implementation of mobile (progressive) web apps
• mastery of UI/UX needs and access ergonomics would be a plus
• experience in graphic design principles and implementation would be a plus
• initiative, creativity and independent way of working
• English: fluent mandatory
