Requirements

science projects based in Hanau, primarily in the area of catalysis and to provide local support to other business units. You will work closely with experts from different knowledge areas to model complex industrial problems and gain business insights using statistical, algorithmic data mining techniques. Building a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies is essential for you to identify opportunities and advise the project team. We require you to keep up to date with the latest developments and advance the team's skills in machine learning and its applications. Your main tasks will include the following: Design and implement end-to-end solutions using data-driven modeling to address business challenges. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business use of data Advise product teams by presenting data-based recommendations. Strengthen relationships between computational science, local business units, and other centers of expertise within the company Coordinate projects Explore innovative techniques and tools in machine learning / deep learning / artificial intelligence. What you bring to the table Successfully completed university studies in the field of Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or comparable course of studies. Several years of professional experience (5 years) in the field of Data Scientist, preferably in an industrial environment. Strong understanding of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree, artificial neural networks) and advanced statistical concepts (regression, discriminant analysis) Experience in building and deploying predictive models and scalable data pipelines. Experience with programming languages (Python) and cloud systems (Databricks, MLflow, Azure Machine Learning). Fluency in English and the ability to clearly communicate complex and technical issues to a diverse audience; knowledge of German is a distinct advantage Confident appearance, persuasiveness and assertiveness.
