Job description

  • You act within the existing Windows Client Engineering team and are jointly responsible for the operation and further development of the Windows software distribution
  • You automate the installation and updating of operating systems, drivers, applications, and processes within the systems using central management tools and scripts and further develop these
  • You handle 2nd- and 3rd-level incidents, sustainably addressing underlying problems
  • You support the existing team in the operation and support of the endpoint security platform and implement security-relevant changes and measures
  • As part of project work, you design and operate new solutions in the Windows environment, where the use of cloud technologies such as Intune is examined
  • There is the option to take over the technical lead and further development of the service (Service Management & Strategy, Process Ownership, CSI)

Requirements

  • Completed IT education (HF/FH) with specific client engineering experience.
  • Proficient in Windows client/server systems and PowerShell.
  • Strong communication skills in German and English., * Completed IT education (HF/FH) and function-specific practical experience in client engineering
  • Experience in automation, application packaging, and system administration using configuration management tools for a large number (500+) of managed endpoints
  • In-depth knowledge of current Microsoft Windows client/server operating systems as well as PowerShell
  • Experience with interfaces (REST) is an advantage * Your working style is characterized by independence, initiative, accuracy, and analytical/methodical approach
  • Very good communication skills in German and English

You are used to working in a team and developing and operating complex solutions for a variety of managed systems with a high degree of automation. In addition to the technical challenges, you appreciate international customer contact and communicate professionally and appropriately with stakeholders at all levels in English and German. You can convincingly win customers over to the concerns of corporate IT. You are enthusiastic about both technical and organizational tasks of varying complexity.
