About the Role
As an Infrastructure & Security Engineer, you'll play a key part in ensuring the stability, security and performance of a hybrid Azure and on-prem environment. You'll support both BAU activity and major cloud, security and optimisation projects - acting as a trusted escalation point for complex issues.
Your work will ensure colleagues stay productive, systems remain protected, and the business continues to operate smoothly every day.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Cloud Infrastructure Stability & Security
Maintaining secure, resilient and optimised Azure and on-prem infrastructure Designing and implementing best-practice Azure configurations Strengthening security posture across identity, access, and cloud platforms Technical Escalation & Support
Acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues Supporting the service desk as needed to maintain operational continuity Endpoint, Device & Identity Management
Managing Intune, GPO and endpoint configurations Maintaining access controls and identity security across the business Monitoring, Incident Response & Automation
Using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Defender tooling for proactive monitoring Supporting incident response, patching, runbooks and operational automation Using PowerShell or CLI/Bash to automate processes Telephony & Connectivity
Supporting Cisco or 8×8 telephony systems to maintain reliable communication Compliance & Supplier Management
Working with vendors to resolve issues and support continuous improvement Ensuring alignment to GDPR, ISO 27001 and wider security frameworks What You'll Bring

Strong experience across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 security Solid background in hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure Experience with incident response, vulnerability management and continuity Hands-on with Intune, GPO, identity management and endpoint controls Competent in PowerShell, automation, scripting and configuration management Exposure to Defender for Cloud, Zero Trust, or a desire to develop these skills Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Azure Admin, Architect, Security Engineer) are beneficial but not essential
