Job description
- communicate with stakeholders and customers to gather and understand requirements
- define and architect the software foundation for simulation control stations, instructor operating stations, and flight training debriefing stations
- define and design intuitive and user-friendly interfaces and UI/UX concepts
- design, develop, test, and maintain software with C++ & Qt/QML by writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following software development best practices
- analyze and debug software issues, and fix bugs
- identify and address technical risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies when needed
- participate in planning, stand-up, review, and retrospective meetings according to the software development methodology
- participate in code reviews and ensure the code meets the defined coding standards
- ensure the software system design and architecture is scalable, maintainable and can be integrated with other systems
Requirements
- have a degree in computer science or a comparable field of study
- have strong communication skills to efficiently collaborate with cross-functional teams
- have solid experience with IT / information systems
- have deep knowledge in C++ and Qt/QML to program surfaces
- ideally, have a simulation background
- very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
