Developer Experience (DevEx) Engineer

We're looking for a DevEx Engineer to boost the productivity, efficiency and overall experience of our engineering teams. You'll design tools, enhance workflows and champion best practices to ensure developers can build, test and ship software faster and more reliably. What you'll be doing

• Building internal tools, services and libraries to streamline developer workflows
• Optimising CI/CD pipelines for speed, reliability and simplicity
• Identifying engineering pain points and automating manual processes
• Improving developer documentation, onboarding guides and internal wikis
• Championing best practices in testing, code quality and deployment
• Monitoring build times, test reliability and other developer feedback loops
• Supporting internal development and test environments
• Promoting a developer-first culture across engineering and product, * Drive real improvements to developer speed, quality and satisfaction
• Work closely with high-performing product and engineering teams

Top skills (in order of priority):

1. Background in software engineering/DevOps/platform engineering
2. Strong programming skills (any modern language)
3. Experience with CI/CD tooling

Essential:

• Familiarity with containers/orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience improving developer workflows or engineering processes

Nice to have:

• Experience with developer portals or internal platforms
• Observability tooling knowledge
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• Experience improving DX in monorepos or microservices environments
