As a Customer Tech / Customer Data Architect, you help clients define, design, and realize modern customer data foundations. You assess the maturity of their customer data landscape, shape future-state architectures, and translate business goals into actionable technical roadmaps. You work closely with C-level stakeholders, product owners, data engineers, and MarTech specialists to build a scalable, privacy-proof, and AI-ready customer data ecosystem.
The Work
- Lead customer data and MarTech maturity assessments, defining target architectures and actionable roadmaps
- Design end-to-end customer data architectures covering identity resolution, profile unification, ingestion, activation, governance, and security
- Advise on and architect solutions across Customer Tech platforms: CDPs, marketing automation, Customer Service technology, DAM, digital marketing tooling, and cloud data warehouses (e.g., GCP BigQuery, Azure)
- Translate business and marketing use cases into data models, integration patterns, APIs, and activation pipelines
- Shape and guide GenAI and agentic architectures within the customer data domain, ensuring responsible and scalable adoption
- Oversee delivery quality and technical solution integrity across complex implementations and migrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architecture alignment across data, engineering, and marketing
- Support business development by identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and delivering architectural vision pieces
- Stay ahead of industry trends in MarTech, CDPs, and AI-driven customer engagement
Requirements
Here's What You'll Need
- 5+ years of experience in customer data, MarTech, data architecture, or related domains
- Deep expertise in customer data architecture (data models, identity stitching, real-time activation, governance)
- Proven experience with Customer Tech platforms: CDPs, marketing automation, Customer Service technology, DAM, digital marketing tooling, and cloud data warehouses (GCP BigQuery, Azure)
- Experience with GenAI or agentic architectures in the context of customer data, customer journeys, or marketing workflows
- Strong experience running MarTech / Customer Data assessments and translating findings into architectural designs
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to C-level and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder management skills across business, marketing, and engineering teams
- Consulting experience is a plus
- Proficiency in English and Dutch
