AI Software Engineer

• Education & Experience: You have 5+ years in software engineering, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience building LLM/RAG or ML-backed applications in production (not just hobby projects).
• Technical Skills: You are proficient in Python, TypeScript, or Java, and experienced with microservices, APIs, event-driven patterns, LLM frameworks, and vector search.
• Data & Evaluation: You have strong data skills (schema design, ETL, feature pipelines) and deep understanding of evaluation methods (golden datasets, A/B tests, accuracy, grounding rate, latency, cost).
• Security & DevSecOps: You are skilled in PII handling, tenant isolation, access control, CI/CD, automated testing, and performance optimization.
• Collaboration: You have excellent communication and documentation skills, and can translate business needs into AI solution designs.
• Preferred: Experience in transportation/logistics, optimization/OR, cost optimization for AI workloads, and building guardrails/safety systems is a plus.
• Hands-on mindset when working with AI productivity tools

Your work will make rail freight more efficient, competitive, and sustainable - supporting the shift from road to rail and helping cut CO emissions. * AI Feature Delivery: You are able to design and implement robust AI features for the TMS Offer Module, including AI agents for planning, customer service, pricing, lane recommendations, and automated tender responses. * RAG/LLM Pipeline Engineering: You are able to build and optimize RAG/LLM pipelines-document ingestion, chunking, embeddings, vector search, prompt orchestration, and structured output parsing. * Evaluation, Safety & Guardrails: You are able to create and maintain golden datasets, enforce content filters and guardrails, and instrument telemetry for cost, latency, and quality. * Engineering Excellence: You are able to write production-grade, testable code, collaborate on architecture, and automate tests and reliability drills for AI flows. * Data & Privacy-by-Design: You are able to operationalize data pipelines, apply privacy and security best practices, and ensure tenant isolation and consent policies., Simply Deliver empowers logistics service providers, carriers, and shippers with innovative SaaS solutions that increase efficiency, transparency, and profitability.
