The company has secured contracts with several of the UK's leading water operators, supporting the maintenance of critical national infrastructure.

Role Overview

The IT Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management, security, and development of the company's IT systems and infrastructure. The role supports both office staff and field-based engineering teams while ensuring systems remain reliable, secure, and scalable as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, networks, hardware, and cloud systems.

  • Set up and administer IT service management and ticketing systems to manage support requests and track issues.

  • Configure and deploy laptops, mobile devices, and other IT hardware for office and field teams.

  • Oversee the onboarding of new employees, ensuring accounts, access permissions, and equipment are ready from day one.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to staff across the business.

  • Support IT systems linked to the company's bespoke pipeline repair technology and operational platforms.

  • Maintain cybersecurity controls, ensuring protection of company and client data and compliance with regulations such as GDPR.

  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.

  • Monitor and maintain quality and performance of IT services across the organisation.

  • Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and digital efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an IT Manager or senior IT support role.

  • Strong problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, or cybersecurity) are desirable.
