Responsibilities: Develop mathematical models, solution algorithms, and computational methods for applied mathematics problems in the field of mechanics of deformable solids. Design, develop, and implement software tools and applications for rotor dynamics analysis and structural simulations, simulation of performance and dynamic coefficients for different types of bearings and other components. The candidate will be engaged in the creation of the software for stress, vibration analysis and rotor dynamics tasks. Collaborate with other teams to integrate software solutions into turbomachinery design systems. Participate in the testing and validation of software solutions to ensure their accuracy and reliability. Conduct research and development of new software technologies and techniques for rotor dynamics analysis and structural FEA approaches applicable to rotating structures. Document and present your work to other team members, management, and stakeholders. Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science. Solid understanding of fundamental mathematical concepts and numerical methods, including but not limited to Finite Element Method, Finite Differences, and Iterative solvers. Strong knowledge in mechanics of deformable solids and dynamical systems analysis. Understanding of the specifics of rotor dynamics and rotating components dynamic analysis. Understanding of principles of operating and simulation approaches for fluid film sliding bearings. Strong programming skills in C++ and other programming languages. Familiarity with software development practices (OOP, SOLID) and version control systems (Git). Experience in coding FEM. 3-5 years of experience in FEA solvers development is preferable. Proficiency in static stress and dynamic analysis of mechanical structures. Knowledge of turbomachinery systems and software tools for mechanical analysis is a plus.
