Are you a technical expert who thrives at the intersection of complex engineering and customer relations? As our Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will be the primary technical face of our company during the critical integration and development phases. You won't just sit at your desk; you will be on-site with leading automotive OEMs and industrial giants, ensuring our Battery Management Systems (BMS) are integrated perfectly and performing at their peak. From deep-dive trace analysis using debugging tools to hands-on commissioning of high-voltage systems, you are the "bridge" that turns technical challenges into successful product launches.
Your future tasks at a glance
- On-site Expert: Lead commissioning and testing activities at customer facilities, ensuring our BMS integrates seamlessly with their powertrain or energy storage systems.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Perform complex trace analyses and debugging to identify root causes in communication or functional behavior.
- Issue Management: Act as the first line of defense for customer claims; review technical issues and translate them into actionable Hardware or Software bug tickets for our R&D teams.
- Rapid Response: Provide urgent on-site assistance for critical "line-down" or vehicle-level issues, acting as a calm and competent partner under pressure.
- Strategic Representation: Represent our technical interests in customer meetings, building trust through engineering excellence and a solution-oriented mindset.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Ethernet?, * Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in ECU development or automotive battery systems. You have a deep understanding of automotive protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS Diagnostics).
- Toolchain Mastery: High proficiency with Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) or similar debugging/trace analysis environments.
- System Understanding: You understand basic circuit design and have a solid grasp of electric powertrain architectures.
- Soft Skills: A confident, "customer-first" attitude with a high degree of self-organization. You can explain complex technical issues to both engineers and project managers.
- Language: Fluency in English is mandatory; German is a significant advantage for our local OEM projects.
- Mobility: High willingness to travel (approx. 50%) to support our partners on-site.
