AI Systems Architect - Studio Co-Founder OverviewWe are looking for a Founding AI Systems Architect to help build the technical and AI foundations of a new mobile gaming company from the ground up.This is not a traditional role inside an established studio. It is a true zero to one opportunity where you will define how AI is used across the product, the architecture that supports it, and the long-term technology strategy of the company.The studio's first product is a gamified mobile app built on strong free-to-play principles. AI will play a key role in shaping intelligent systems around player engagement, personalisation, retention and feature dynamics.Over time the platform will expand into a portfolio of Unity-based mobile games.This role will work directly with the founder and early leadership team and will have a major influence on the studio's long-term technology roadmap.ResponsibilitiesDefine the overall AI architecture for the studio's products, ensuring systems can scale from the initial app into future game titles.Design and implement AI driven systems that improve player engagement, retention and personalisation.Architect AI infrastructure and pipelines that integrate effectively with mobile applications and Unity based games.Design systems that allow data, player behaviour and live operations to inform AI driven features and gameplay.Build frameworks and tooling that allow engineers, designers and product teams to integrate AI capabilities into products.Ensure systems are scalable, performant and suitable for mobile platforms.Play a key role in shaping the long term technical vision of the company as part of the founding team.Technical RequirementsStrong background in software engineering and system architecture.Experience designing and deploying AI or machine learning systems in production environments.Experience building scalable backend systems and integrating AI services into applications.Experience working with or integrating systems into Unity or real time interactive environments.Ability to work across product, engineering and design to translate ideas into scalable technical solutions.Desirable ExperienceExperience in mobile games or free-to-play game development.Experience building gameplay AI systems or simulation systems.Experience with personalisation systems, recommendation engines or player behaviour modelling.Experience working in early-stage startups or building products from zero.Experience with generative AI, reinforcement learning or adaptive gameplay systems.Experience designing developer tools or AI frameworks used by product teams.What You Will Help BuildAn AI foundation that supports both a consumer mobile application and a future portfolio of games.Intelligent systems that power player engagement, progression and personalisation.AI frameworks that scale across multiple Unity based game projects.A modern technology stack designed from the ground up for a new generation of AI enhanced mobile games.
