Senior Design Engineer - Completion ToolsPermanentOverviewOur Client is seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong completion tool experience to support the design and development of advanced downhole technologies used in well completion operations. This role will focus on delivering reliable and innovative engineering solutions for complex well environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design and development of completion tools and downhole equipment (e.g., packers, valves, sleeves, completion accessories).Produce 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.Perform engineering analysis and design validation to ensure tool reliability in high-pressure, high-temperature downhole environments.Support prototype development, testing, and product qualification.Collaborate with manufacturing, testing, and field teams to optimise designs and ensure operational performance.Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and support design reviews.Essential

ExperienceProven experience in completion tools or downhole tool design.Strong mechanical design background with proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, etc.).Understanding of downhole conditions, pressure containment, and mechanical loading.Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.Experience working within regulated engineering environments.DesirableExperience designing packers, liner hangers, sliding sleeves, or other completion equipment.Knowledge of HPHT tool design or oilfield equipment standards.
