Back-End Developer

Design and build scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines

• Work on our streaming data platform (real-time data processing, ingestion, and distribution)
• Ensure systems are reliable, observable, and performant
• Contribute to data modeling, database design, and architecture decisions
• Collaborate with front-end developers to deliver seamless end-to-end features
• Set up and improve monitoring, logging, and data quality checks
• Take ownership from development to deployment and production operations
• Continuously improve systems through experimentation and innovation

A degree in Computer Science (or similar) or 3 years of experience

• Strong backend development skills (Java and/or Python)
• Experience with API design and distributed systems
• Experience with data streaming or messaging systems (e.g., Kafka)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD, and system reliability
• Experience with databases (relational and/or time-series)
• A mindset focused on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Ability and willingness to collaborate across the stack, including front-end teams
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Nice to have: Exposure to front-end development (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Nice to have: Experience with data-intensive applications or analytics platforms
• Nice to have: Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC-UA, Modbus, NMEA)
• Nice to have: Interest in UX or data visualization
