Cyber Security Specialist

Role purpose: Protect organizational systems, networks, and data by preventing, detecting, and responding to cyber threats while improving security posture and compliance., * Monitor security events using SIEM tools, investigate alerts, and escalate incidents based on severity.

• Conduct incident response activities, including triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident reporting.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, prioritize remediation, and validate fixes through re-testing.
• Support security architecture and hardening for endpoints, servers, cloud services, and network devices.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
• Execute risk assessments and contribute to threat modeling and security reviews for new projects.
• Deliver security awareness guidance and collaborate with IT and engineering teams to reduce risk.

• Strong knowledge of security principles, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning, and log analysis.
• Understanding of common attack techniques (phishing, malware, ransomware, privilege escalation) and mitigation controls.
• Familiarity with frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or MITRE ATT&CK.
• Ability to document findings clearly and communicate risk to technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Relevant certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, CySA+, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and identity access management.
