Solution Architect - Data Centre Migration

• Define and own the end to end solution architecture for a large scale data centre migration, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and technology roadmaps.
• Develop high level and detailed architectures across compute, storage, network, cloud integration, and security.
• Produce key architectural artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, roadmaps, migration architectures, and decision logs.
• Shape and govern the migration approach for data centre closure, consolidation, and relocation.
• Ensure designs consider application dependencies, routing changes, IP schemas, and service continuity.
• Oversee development of migration runbooks and ensure enterprise architectural integrity across teams.
• Lead architectural design reviews and participate in technical governance boards.
• Assure vendor supplied designs against enterprise and security standards.
• Provide impact assessments, risk evaluations, and solution recommendations from planning through execution.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams, network engineers, application owners, and multi vendor partners.
• Present architectural decisions and risks to senior stakeholders, both technical and non technical.
• Deliver resilience, failover, HA/DR, and continuity-aligned architecture for all stages of the migration.
• Support DR readiness and ensure transitional architectures remain robust and compliant.

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect within large scale infrastructure or data centre migration programmes.
• Deep technical expertise in:

• VMware vSphere/ESXi
• Zerto replication, failover design, and protected workload strategies
• SAN/NAS architectures, replication patterns and storage consumption models
• Networking: routing, VLANs, Firewalls, IP schema redesign
• Physical infrastructure: racks, cabling, hosting layouts

• Experience designing resilience and DR using:

• Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
• AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery
• Hybrid cloud failover approaches

• A proven track record providing governance or design leadership for end to end data centre moves.
• Excellent documentation skills and the ability to present complex architecture to multiple stakeholder groups.
