Solution Architect

In this role, you will be responsible for understanding design and requirements to develop and execute custom application features and functions. You will break down requirements from the Business Requirements Document (BRD) into Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and stories. A strong knowledge of more than one card product is essential. You will be accountable for creating strategically aligned, cost-effective architecture solutions that adhere to platform architecture roadmaps and overall enterprise architecture strategy. Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders, you will provide architecture direction and leadership to teams., * Understand and execute the design and requirements to develop custom application features.

• Break down the Business Requirements Document into MVPs and stories.
• Ensure end-to-end solution design aligns with strategic goals and enterprise architecture.
• Provide architecture direction and leadership across various teams and stakeholders.
• Create and maintain relationships with sponsors to support business strategy and technology roadmaps.
• Manage risks effectively, escalating issues when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with architecture governance and standards.
• Mentor and support team members.
• Collaborate with external suppliers to define architecture patterns and integration approaches.
• Stay informed about technology trends and communicate updates to peers and stakeholders.

• 15+ years of experience in developing and maintaining complex banking applications, such as credit card processing.
• Significant experience in the financial services industry or a related field, with lending or card experience being a plus.
• Proven ability to deliver in a matrixed organisation and resolve conflicts collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address ambiguous problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Knowledge or certification in at least one cloud platform.
• Awareness of infrastructure, integration, data, messaging, or security.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Digital Banking Retail experience, especially in Cards or Loans.
• Full stack solution design skills, including Web, App, API, Orchestration, and Mainframe.
• Cyber security mindset.
• experience in resilient and high availability design.
• Cloud certification.
