Job description

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
  • Collaborate with Business Application Owners to define Service trees, and relate the infrastructure through ServiceNow Service Mapping
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and currency of all Configuration Items (CIs)
  • Define and enforce configuration policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with ITIL
  • Collaborate closely with the Group Competence Center for IT Configuration Management, aligning asset and configuration data for a unified IT landscape view
  • Support the integration of asset and configuration management processes and tools
  • Cooperate with Change Management, Incident Management, and the Service Desk
  • Conduct audits and reviews to ensure process compliance
  • Identify discrepancies and initiate corrective actions
  • Train and advise IT teams on configuration management practices

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification
  • Solid understanding of the ITIL framework, ideally certified (ITIL 4 Foundation or higher)
  • Professional experience in Configuration Management within medium to large IT environments
  • Familiarity with IT Asset Management and the interaction between asset and configuration data
  • Hands-on experience with CMDB tools (e.g., ServiceNow, i-doit, BMC Remedy, Matrix42, etc.)
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and process-driven work style
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across departments
  • Proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Ability to support ITSM-related projects, particularly in automation and tool integration
  • Confidence in conducting audits and driving compliance across IT processes

The annual gross salary (full-time) for the position is at least EUR 70.000,-. Do you have extensive experience and expertise? If so, we're happy to offer a salary above this amount in recognition of your qualifications.
