Job description

We are looking for a highly skilled and visionary Solutions Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and interoperable Data & AI solutions across Sanoma Learning. This role combines strategic architecture leadership with hands-on solution design, focusing on data platforms, analytics, machine learning, and governance. You will collaborate with product teams, data scientists, engineers, and other architects to translate business needs into technical designs that support our mission to shape the future of learning., * Define and execute Data & AI architecture strategy, including setting Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).

  • Ensure data and AI solutions deliver prioritized business value and align with enterprise architecture.
  • Evaluate and introduce modern data platforms, AI/ML frameworks, tools, and best practices.
  • Promote interoperability, scalability, and security across data and AI systems., * Collaborate with Engineering and Data Science teams to support implementation and integration.
  • Analyse dependencies and integration points across systems and products.
  • Contribute to solution documentation, gap analysis, and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Support the Architecture Competence in scoping and reviewing solution designs, guidelines, and ways of working.

Governance & Standards

  • Define and maintain standards for data governance, privacy, and ethical AI practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and internal policies.
  • Promote data quality, lineage, and metadata management across platforms.

Requirements

Do you have a Master's degree?, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, AI, or related field 5+ years of experience in solution architecture or data/AI platform design Strong knowledge of cloud-native data architectures, APIs, and integration patterns Experience with data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery) and ML frameworks (e.g. TensorFlow, PyTorch) Familiarity with data governance tools and practices Experience working in agile environments Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience with MLOps and model lifecycle management Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) Experience with real-time data processing (e.g. Kafka, Spark Streaming) Understanding of ethical AI principles and bias mitigation Background in education technology or learning analytics Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data modeling Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
