Job description
We are seeking a Network Support Engineer to provide end-to-end monitoring troubleshooting, and technical support for a wired and wireless network system and supporting various customer-based software applications and network, in a multi-tiered service support environment. The engineer will work closely with hospital IT teams, internal engineering, product management, and sales to ensure reliable system performance and excellent customer support. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 & Tier 2 technical support for network connectivity, software, and system issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain remote servers and network services.
- Perform system upgrades, maintenance checks, and troubleshooting.
- Support integrations with EMR, PACS, HL7, and DICOM systems.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
- Review system configurations, architecture, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and reports.
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and medical device data regulations.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (5+ years) in technical or customer support environments.
- Experience with Windows OS and server administration, hardware/software installation, and system configuration.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and NAT/PAT.
- Experience troubleshooting LAN/WLAN/WAN networks and Voice/Video over IP.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and LDAP configuration
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Experience working with healthcare IT systems and regulatory environments is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within global teams
