Job description
We are looking for a skilled Roku Developer with experience in BrightScript, SceneGraph, and streaming media applications to join our team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Roku applications while ensuring optimal performance and user experience., * Develop, maintain, and enhance Roku applications using BrightScript and SceneGraph.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to create seamless user experiences.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate with third-party APIs, DRM solutions, and analytics platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues.
- Ensure applications meet Roku certification requirements and best practices.
- Stay up to date with Roku SDK updates, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience developing Roku applications.
- Strong knowledge of BrightScript and SceneGraph.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs, analytics, and ad networks into Roku apps.
- Familiarity with DRM solutions (Widevine, PlayReady, FairPlay).
- Understanding of video streaming technologies (HLS, DASH).
- Experience with Unit Testing and debugging on the Roku platform.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Firebase, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for Roku applications.
- Knowledge of other OTT platforms such as Apple TV, Fire TV, or Android TV.
