Cloud Hosting Engineer

We're supporting an established software and data solutions provider in their search for a Cloud Hosting Engineer. The Role This position offers the chance to work across both private and public cloud platforms. You'll be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, minimising downtime, and delivering projects that enhance infrastructure performance and resilience. Collaboration is key, as you'll liaise with internal teams, external partners, and end users to keep systems reliable and secure., * Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure to ensure peak performance.

• Respond to alerts and resolve issues in collaboration with internal teams and datacentre colleagues.
• Support customer queries within agreed SLAs, escalating where required.
• Design and implement infrastructure changes as well as new cloud projects.
• Manage day-to-day operations including OS patches, upgrades, backups, and monitoring.
• Carry out Disaster Recovery testing and maintain data integrity.
• Uphold high standards of security and compliance across all environments.
• Proactively identify risks and prevent downtime.

We're looking for a proactive Cloud Hosting Engineer with:

• Strong knowledge of private and public cloud technologies.
• Proven experience in infrastructure engineering and system operations.
• Confidence in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and supporting business-critical systems.
• The ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
