Job description

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Systems Integration & Trials Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering complex, high-integrity systems. This role focuses on planning, executing, and analysing system-level trials across laboratory, ground, harbour, sea, and live firing environments. You will work closely with systems and design teams to validate performance, resolve integration issues, and ensure successful system acceptance. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys practical, real-world testing and working at the forefront of advanced engineering programmes., + Plan, develop and execute system integration and proving trials

  • Generate clear and structured trial documentation and procedures
  • Prepare and support Trials Readiness Reviews
  • Conduct laboratory-based functional and integration trials
  • Support ground, harbour, sea and live firing trials (UK and overseas)
  • Capture, analyse and report trial data
  • Investigate and help resolve design and integration issues
  • Work closely with systems, software and hardware design teams
  • Support configuration control and lab management activities

Requirements

Experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Systems integration

  • Test, verification & validation (V&V)

  • Design proving or system trials

  • Missile, naval, aerospace or defence systems

  • Electronic, electrical or mechanical integration

  • Network or interface integration You should also:

  • Be confident working with multidisciplinary engineering teams

  • Be comfortable working in lab and field environments

  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Be willing to travel in the UK and internationally

  • Be organised and able to produce clear technical documentation, You are practical, detail-oriented and comfortable working in structured engineering environments. You enjoy solving real-world technical problems and seeing systems perform in operational settings.
