Requirements
As a Senior MySQL Database Developer/DBA, you will play a critical role in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing high-traffic, multiple database applications. You will be responsible for migrating SQL Server databases to MySQL and ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This is a hands-on role that requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to design and maintain robust and scalable applications. Ideally, your skills and experience will include:
- Proven experience as a MySQL DBA and developer in a high-availability environment.
- Strong proficiency in managing database configurations, log files, and resource usage.
- Solid expertise in backup and recovery planning, performance tuning, and database design.
- Experience with SQL Server to MySQL database migrations is essential.
- Excellent SQL skills and ability to write efficient queries and stored procedures.
- Familiarity with source control platforms (e.g., GIT) for version control.
- Knowledge of logging and analysis tools (e.g., Elasticsearch, Rollbar Sentry).
- Understanding of architectural design choices (e.g., Heap, MyISAM, INNO DB).
