Job description
Analyse the existing SAP BusinessObjects environment including reports, universes, and data sources
Understand and document report logic, calculations, and dependencies
Review and interpret the BO security model, user roles, and access controls
Support the mapping of SAP BO reports to Power BI equivalents
Work closely with Data Architects and Power BI Developers during migration
Identify data sources and ensure accurate data mapping and transformation
Assist in validating migrated reports for functional parity and data accuracy
Support parallel run and testing phases
Document findings, dependencies, and migration considerations
Provide guidance on best practices for report migration and optimisation, We are looking for a SAP BO SME who can analyse legacy reporting systems and play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and accurate migration to Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP BusinessObjects
Strong understanding of BO components (Web Intelligence, Universes, etc.)
Experience in analysing and documenting BI/reporting systems
Knowledge of data modelling and SQL
Experience in data/report migration projects
Preferred:
Experience in migration to Power BI or modern analytics platforms
Exposure to Microsoft Fabric / Azure ecosystem
Experience in public sector or enterprise environments
