Shape the future of IT at Rabobank! Our Consumer Data Area, part of the tribe Tech4Engineering, streamlines access to all IT4IT related information to the rest of the bank. As a Solution Architect you play a key role in shaping the architecture for our IT Service Management solution. You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business stakeholders, Delegate Process Owners, (Sr) Tech Leads, DevOps Engineers, and fellow (Solution & Business) Architects to design solutions that are compliant, scalable, and aligned with the bank's strategic goals.

Your focus will be primarily on the functional and business aspects of architecture - understanding IT Service Management requirements, translating business needs into architectural designs by acting as a bridge between business and IT, and guiding teams in implementing these solutions. You are also "the go to" person for our DevOps Engineers. Meanwhile, technical knowledge allows you to engage more effectively in discussions around platforms, data flows, and integration.

Top responsibilites
Architectural Leadership
- Evolve the architecture of IT Service Management, recently migrated to HaloITSM with the independent API and data layer.
- Govern and enrich our CMDB data in our enterprise Configuration Management System that brings data from a multitude of sources together and creates meaningful information out of it.
Team Leadership
- Co-lead the Squad triangle together with the Product Owner and the Tech Lead or representative
- Collaborate with the Product Owner and the Tech Lead or representative to manage the IT Service Management Services, balancing business priorities, technical feasibility, and operational excellence.
- Guide and oversee the work in the IT Service Management squads in line with the target architecture and area purpose.
- Foster an open culture of continuous improvement and DevOps maturity.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with a wide group of stakeholders across the bank to ensure alignment with organizational needs.

Requirements
- Deep knowledge of IT Service Management tooling in both SaaS (public cloud) and on-premises environments, with strong understanding of ITSM/ITIL principles.
- 5+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in IT service delivery, solution architecture, or business analysis within financial services or complex enterprises.
- Proven experience in modernizing ITSM platforms and integrating them with API-first backends and analytics ecosystems.
- Strong skills in service architecture, including service taxonomy, service catalog design, and CMDB modelling (CIs, relationships, federation vs. centralization).
- Ability to design and govern scalable API layers (REST standards, versioning, security, throttling, observability).
- Deep knowledge of Azure integration services (API Management, Functions/App Service, Event Grid, Service Bus) and experience with Azure data & analytics platforms (Data Lake, Synapse/Databricks, Data Factory, Power BI).
- Solid foundation in Azure security (Entra ID, Managed Identities, Key Vault, RBAC/ABAC, network security) and the ability to translate business/ITSM needs into architectural decisions and roadmaps.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills, with the ability to guide teams, connect big-picture vision to actionable steps, and work effectively in complex multi-stakeholder environments.

- Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 5,876 and EUR 8,395 (scale 10) for a 36-hour work week.
