Job description

We are seeking a Finance Data Analyst to lead the development and delivery of insightful management information across the business. This role will focus on transforming existing reporting into automated, reliable dashboards using Power BI, improving data quality, and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership and colleagues across all levels. Working closely with the Finance Director and senior finance leadership, the role is key to modernising reporting, strengthening decision-making, and increasing operational efficiency., Power BI Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards for financial and operational performance reporting.
  • Translate complex data requirements into clear, automated reporting outputs.
  • Develop and enhance KPI dashboards to provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure reporting is scalable, consistent, and user-friendly.
  • Produce comprehensive reporting packs and interactive dashboards for management.

Data Modelling & MI Development

  • Develop and maintain robust data models within Power BI.
  • Support the creation of a single source of truth for reporting.
  • Enhance the accuracy and integrity of management information.
  • Identify inefficiencies in current reporting processes and replace manual workflows with automated solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with senior finance leaders to shape reporting priorities.
  • Partner with teams across the organisation to understand reporting requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for finance reporting and Power BI developments.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in Power BI dashboard development.
  • Advanced knowledge of data modelling.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience handling large datasets.
  • Ability to communicate insights clearly to senior stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • SQL experience.
  • Experience connecting Power BI to multiple data sources.
  • Background in finance or strong understanding of financial reporting.
  • Experience creating MI packs for senior leadership., * Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Collaborative team member who can also work independently.
