Job description

The Senior Document Controller will lead and manage a small team of document controllers and be responsible for document control operations across multiple residential development projects in the South region. The holder will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust document control systems, ensuring compliance with project standards, and supporting efficient communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.

The role will be office based at our head office in Uxbridge with regular interaction with site and project teams and will require travel to project sites., * Develop and implement document control procedures and systems across residential construction projects.

  • Manage document controllers and oversee document workflows, version control, and distribution.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Coordinate with design, technical, commercial, and site teams to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

  • Liaise with external consultants, contractors, and clients regarding document submissions and approvals.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to monitor document performance and compliance. Support project handover processes by compiling and verifying final documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity and traceability.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on document management platforms eg (doc hosting, Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite).

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in document control within construction, ideally residential development.
  • Proven leadership experience managing document control teams and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of document control platforms (e.g.,Doc hosting Viewpoint, Aconex, Asite) with Aconex essential.
  • Experience with BIM workflows and digital construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards related to document management.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage documentation across multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document formatting tools.
