Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geospatial Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in geographic information systems (GIS) to analyze spatial data and provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include designing and implementing complex geospatial analyses, managing data collection and integration from various sources, and creating detailed maps and visualizations that effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. You will also mentor junior analysts, fostering their development while ensuring that best practices in GIS are adhered to across projects.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geospatial technologies, along with proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS or QGIS. A bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field is required, with a master's degree preferred. You should have at least five years of experience in geospatial analysis, including a solid understanding of remote sensing, spatial statistics, and data modeling. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment are essential. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R, as well as experience with database management systems, will be considered a significant advantage.
